57   06-05-16 Yes Cliff Cheng   3637 Glendon Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90034 (310) 485-0324 certsponsor@gmail.com Electioneering by candidates On 5-20-16 and again on 5-27-2016 campaign advertisements for Palm Fellin, Candidate for Palms Neighborhood Council were placed inside the private property at 3637 Glendon Ave., Glendon Estates HOA which I am a co-owner.  We have a sign stating This Property is Closed to the Public. Ms. Fellin and/or her campaign workers have trespassed on to ou private property and vandalized it with their unwelcomed campaign advertisements, see attached. Anyone who repeatedly commits the crime of trespass and vandalism is not fit to hold public office. Ms. Fellin should be disqualified and barred from holding office. She should be restrained from coming to our property and contacting our residents.  2016.05.27_PamFellin_Prspss_CampaignAdvert.JPG     CliffChengElectionChallengeDetermination061016.pdf IEA Dismissed 06-10-16 Cliff Cheng certsponsor@gmail.com (31) 048-5032 2016.05.27_PamFellin_Prspss_CampaignAdvert.JPG Cliff Cheng                   Cliff Cheng
62   06-05-16 Yes Mr. Fred Stewart   9854 National Boulevard 402, Los Angeles, California 90034 (310) 880-7753 mister.freddiestewart@gmail.com Electioneering by candidates June 2, 2016, BONC Commissioner Eli Lipmen electioneered at the pop-up voting site at the IMAN Center.  Lipmen was caught on camera well within the 15-foot no-electioneering poll parameter; at times even electioneering directly behind the voting table.  Lipmen arrived on-site after 9pm (confirmed by IMAN staff), when the Islamic religious services ended; when the polls opened and voting was made available.  Lipmen electioneered on behalf of Nick Greif and other candidates endorsed by Lee Wallach’s Motor Avenue Improvement Association, verbally and by showing voters who to vote for using Lipmen’s own smartphone (Lipmen almost dropped his smartphone, trying to put it away when he realized that I was watching and could hear him speak).  Lee Wallach was present as well, watching and condoning Lipmen’s actions.    Lipmen electioneered for close to an hour with over 100 eligible voters in attendance; tainting the election.  Lipmen was not on-site for the Islamic services, did not eat with any members of the mosque, and (unless the poll workers say otherwise and can prove it electronically) Lipmen did not attend the pop up voting site to vote (nor would that justify his illegal electioneering).

The City has already confirmed that Lipmen and Wallach were at the center of electioneering issues on May 22, 2016 at the farmer’s market in Palms.  The City had to force BOTH Lee Wallach out of the poll booth (Wallach and his company have endorsed 12 candidates in this election), and BONC Commissioner Eli Lipmen (who caused an electioneering issue by wearing and drawing attention to candidate Nick Greif’s ‘Volunteer for Nick Greif’ lanyard while in the polling booth).

Both Wallach and Lipmen were told by the City to stop causing electioneering issues.  These issues were so dire that it led the City to cancel the next scheduled pop up poll at the farmer’s market for the following week, May 29, 2016.

May 25, 2016, at the Palms Candidate Forum, candidate Nick Greif was told by the City about Lipmen and Wallach’s electioneering issues at the farmers market on his behalf, and was warned by the City not to let it happen again.

In short, Lipmen and Wallach caused electioneering issues on behalf of Nick Greif and Wallach’s company’s 12 endorsed candidates and were told to stop by the City, just to blatantly electioneer again at the next immediate opportunity; completely disregarding the City’s warning not to do so AGAIN.

The photos attached are from video that your website/server will not allow me to upload.  The clear video shows:
1 – Poll Worker sitting in blue chair next to stage, less than 15 feet away from Lipmen’s electioneering.
2 – BONC Commissioner Lipmen electioneering within 15 feet of the poll/voting table.
3 - Lee Wallach watching and condoning the illegal electioneering committed by BONC Commissioner Lipmen
Justice.
The remedy for this blatant and repeated infraction should be substantial.  The people/candidate at the center of these infractions were explicitly warned and prohibited from causing any further electioneering issues, then ignored the City’s warnings completely by deliberately electioneering at the first opportunity that presented itself.  It is not fair to the 23 other candidates, who abided by City rules and regulations, just to let Greif, Lipmen, and Wallach get away with multiple issues of electioneering, and not receive consequences; if for no other reason than to prevent people from losing faith in the Neighborhood Council system.

64   06-05-16 Yes Anthony Cisneros Motor Avenue Improvement Association 3751 Motor Ave.  #341248, Los Angeles, California 90034 (310) 202-9002 maia@motorassociation.org Inappropriate endorsements of candidate Palms Neighborhood Council (PNC) presidential candidate Marisa Stewart and her staff/supporters campaigned while wearing PNC Logo t-shirts at the pop-up poll located at the Motor Avenue Farmer’s Market on Sunday 5/22/16. The 2016 Election Manual and challenge criteria clearly prohibits the use of the “Explicit Use of City logo(s) for Campaign Materials by Candidate(s) (including LA City, EmpowerLA logo, Neighborhood Council logo, and any other City department logo)” to “prevent candidates or supporters of candidates from campaigning under the expressed or implied endorsement or authorization of the City, a City department, or a Neighborhood Council and prevent voter confusion.” Marisa and her campaign staff actively used PNC t-shirts in order to express to voters an endorsement by the Palms Neighborhood Council which causes confusion and presents an unfair advantage against the other candidates. The candidate should be disqualified on the grounds that using the PNC logo provides a severe unfair advantage in her favor. The implied endorsement of the PNC in order to gain supporters is an unfair and fraudulent tactic and has no place on the PNC Board. 65   06-05-16 Yes Anthony Cisneros   3751 Motor Ave. #34124, Los Angeles, California 90034 (310) 202-9002 maia@motorassociation.org Electioneering by candidates The candidate Marisa Stewart is guilty of Electioneering as defined by the EmpowerLA 2016 Manual which clearly prohibits campaigning or electioneering activities within 100 feet of the Polling Place or within 15 feet of a Pop-Up polling place. Marisa and her campaign staff were in violation of this rule on 2 separate occasions:
1.    At the Farmer’s Market polling place where one of her campaign staff, Fred Stewart, was actively campaigning within 10 feet of the voting booth while wearing a PNC logo t shirt.
2.    At the Candidate Forum where the same campaign staffer, Fred Stewart, stood within 1 foot of the voting booth trying to intimidate and influence the voters while wearing a fake security t-shirt.
The candidate and her staff solicited votes and spoke to voters within 10 feet of the polling booths on both occasions which present an explicit unfair advantage in favor of Marisa Stewart.
The candidate should be disqualified on the grounds of Electioneering through the means of intimidation and campaigning on 2 separate occasions at the voting booths. Their names and photos were used to only gain supporters and it was done in a fraudulent method.  In particular, the slate was released the day of the pop-up poll at the IMAN Center and included candidate Sadegh Namazikhah on the slate.  This was done without his permission, written or otherwise, and was done to make it appear as if Dr. Namazikhah had endorsed the candidate to earn votes among the community at the IMAN Center which was created and is run by Dr. Namazikhah.  This clearly confused the voters at the IMAN Center who felt they should vote for the people Dr. Namazikhah supported, which this slate disingenuously made it seem were Marisa Stewart and others, including successful candidate Maria Munoz.  From the 2016 Election Manual: “Board Slates -¬ A group of candidates that agree to campaign together, typically on shared materials and with a shared message. All members of a slate must agree to be on the slate in writing.” The candidate should be disqualified on the grounds that she produced a false slate where as the other candidates had not given approval. Further, any voters who cast ballots at the IMAN pop-up poll for candidates on the misleading slate should be given the opportunity to change their vote with the information that the candidates on the slate had not endorsed one another. As a Palms Neighborhood Council candidate, Marissa Stewart has sponsored and maintained the website which contains derogatory and racist threats to current PNC board members, candidates, and voters. Marissa Stewart as a candidate for Palms Neighborhood Council President is plastering swastikas, burning crosses, hanging men, confederate flags and more on the pictures of other candidates and community members. These hateful racist threats against specific members of our Neighborhood Council Board candidates and other community members were produced as an intimidation tactic to stakeholders in the community. The pictures attached are just a few examples of the criminal threats and hate crimes, electioneering and inappropriate campaign materials that are being presented on the website being facilitated by PNC President Marissa Stewart. Recently, half a dozen board members have quit and written letters specifically noting harassment and targeting. The candidate should be disqualified immediately. Her KnowNewsOnline website was produced for the sole purpose of threatening and intimidating candidates and voters. This intimidation is no different than the recent arrest of the man who was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats to Council President Herb Wesson. His actions parallel those of PNC President Marissa Stewart’s as they both produced images of racism such as burning crosses, a person hanging from a noose, and other racial epithets. Candidate Marisa Stewart distributed her business cards and candidate support flyers all along the streets to the east of the polling location in violation of 28.01.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
