His application was not approved by February 9, 2016 which was the last date for filing.  He was very aware that elections were scheduled for April 9, 2016 and professed to be computer savvy.  It took 30 days for DONE and the City Clerk to state he was a candidate.  I object.

1 - He did not submit his application within the proper time frame
2 - There are 2 submissions one dated 3-9-16 and one dated 2-4-16; and the 2 do not "match"; possible forgery?
3 - The city clerk should have certified him within the proper time frame if this submission was "legal"
4 -An "err in mechanical" should be disallowed; if it is not received in time for whatever reason; that candidate should be disqualified
That Armando Diaz be disqualified and removed from the North Hills West Neighborhood Council board immediately armandodiaz.pdf       City Clerk Dismissed
24 North Hills West 04-09-16 Yes Anita Goldbaum   16113 Malden Street, North Hills, California 91343 (818) 326-7133 agold16113@aol.com Eligibility of Candidate I am challenging the eligibility of Armando Diaz's candidacy for a seat on the board.  His name did not appear on the final list of candidates after submissions were closed for North Hills West February 9, 2016.
Why was his application approved 30 days after the application deadline on March 9, 2016?
Regardless of where or by whom an error, mistake, or oversight occurred there should not have been a reprieve or change in status for Armando Diaz's candidacy.  He did not file in a complete and timely manner.  Period!!  Not eligible.  This decision
is a contradiction and harmful breach of the filing0 rule and regulations that are set.  It was an unprincipled finding and ruling to allow him to be a candidate.  He should not have been a candidate for a seat on the North Hills West board and been disqualified.

My desired remedy for this action of an ineligible candidate is that he be disqualified as a candidate and be removed from the North Hills West Neighborhood Council board.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
