40   05-05-16 Yes Don Toy   600 N. Broadway, Los Angeles, California 90012 (213) 680-0876 ca27gpoon@yahoo.com Incorrect BallotsEligibility of Voter My vote was not counted. Briefly, I was sent two separate emails, first email confirmed Receipt of my Registration, the second Certified me to Vote. I never received a third email  with Voter Information (Username and Pin). After three weeks, I called the third party company as instructed by DONE and received my voter information to vote. I voted online. On May 4th evening, I received an email with a list with the names of many stakeholders (all prior registered and certified), the email stated that to vote, they would have to go to the polling location the next day. My name was on that list as well. I know I had voted online was not able to go because of the late notice. This is an undue hardship for someone like myself and the others on the list, who followed the rules, registered and was certified, now I do not know if my online vote was counted. I am requesting that my online votes be honored. If my ballot is not found,  then I should be allowed to cast my ballot again. Also, all the other people on the list should be given the opportunity to vote as well. 41   05-05-16 Yes George Poon   600 North Broadway, Los Angeles, California 90012 (212) 680-9730 ca27gpoon@yahoo.com Incorrect BallotsEligibility of Voter I am concerned that my votes were not counted because of conflicting information. I registered to vote online at the Chinatown Senior Citizens Service Center. Although I received both Confirmation that I Registered and later an email that I was Certified to Vote, I did not receive any voter information; username & pin. After contacting the company hired to conduct the online voting, i received my username & pin. I voted online. Later, I received an email late on May 4th, 2016, that all the many people named on the attached list would have to go the next day with documents to vote. I know I had voted online and due to prior business comittments could not go again to vote. I am afraid my ballot was not counted. All of us followed the rules and should not be penalized + I want to confirm that my online vote / ballot was counted. in the event, you do not find it, I feel it would only be fair to allow me to vote again. I know many of the people named on that list are registered and certified and they should be allowed to vote too.  HCNC Voters.xlsx     GeorgePoonElectionChallengeDetermination051716.pdf IEA Dismissed 05-17-16                         soong316@hotmail.com (626) 262-0774 x6262620774     George Poon
42   05-05-16 Yes Maryanne Hayashi   534 Edgeware Road, Los Angeles, California 90026 (213) 241-0908 ccacold6@hotmail.com Incorrect BallotsEligibility of Voter I am writing this challenge on the behalf of myself, a senior citizen 70+ and my staff members (Valerie Kemp, Benjamin Ban) who duly registered online and received various emails verifying our registration and certification to vote. However, we never received the voter information to vote. Then on Thursday, May 5th, 2016, we received an email from Grayce Liu that said we had to go to a location, that same day at  Lot 613 to vote. My staff followed all the rules and submitted all the required documents for voting. We did not commit fraud, and was denied the right to vote in the HCNC elections. This is not right and sends the wrong message to my staff and student participants. We followed all the required online rules, within the stated timelines and we (Maryanne Hayashi, Valerie Kemp, Benjamin Ban) should be allowed to vote for our candidates in the 2016 HCNC Elections. 43   05-05-16 Yes Edmund Soohoo   2450 Aaron Street, Los Angeles,, California 90026 (323) 459-6257 edmundsoohoo@yahoo.com Eligibility of Voter Good Afternoon, I am submitting this challenge in support of my fellow HCNC Board members; Esther Woojan and GiHao Cheung.  Both of them are candidates listed on the Election Ballot and yet were denied their right to vote for themselves in the election. Besides being certified as Candidates, they also registered online with the assistance of the Chinatown Senior Citizens Service Center. Both received various emails confirming receipt of their registration and were also certified to vote. yet, they never received their voter information by email, as I did. On May 4th, after 5:30pm, an email was sent informing them that they would have to go to a physical location the following day to vote. This is an undeserved imposed hardship to my fellow board members by DONE for no valid reason. This action is correctable and needs to be rectified. This is a correctable issue, I am asking to  submit new documentation to prove eligibility. They followed all stated rules  and requirements before the deadline and should be given the right to vote for themselves and other candidates. That is only fair. When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
