Campaign Material IssuesElectioneering by candidates
The candidate Marisa Stewart used names & photos of candidates on her campaign slate without their expressed or written consent in order to boost her credentials. Their names and photos were used to only gain supporters and it was done in a fraudulent method.  In particular, the slate was released the day of the pop-up poll at the IMAN Center and included candidate Sadegh Namazikhah on the slate.  This was done without his permission, written or otherwise, and was done to make it appear as if Dr. Namazikhah had endorsed the candidate to earn votes among the community at the IMAN Center which was created and is run by Dr. Namazikhah.  This clearly confused the voters at the IMAN Center who felt they should vote for the people Dr. Namazikhah supported, which this slate disingenuously made it seem were Marisa Stewart and others, including successful candidate Maria Munoz.  From the 2016 Election Manual: “Board Slates -¬ A group of candidates that agree to campaign together, typically on shared materials and with a shared message. All members of a slate must agree to be on the slate in writing.”
The candidate should be disqualified on the grounds that she produced a false slate where as the other candidates had not given approval. Further, any voters who cast ballots at the IMAN pop-up poll for candidates on the misleading slate should be given the opportunity to change their vote with the information that the candidates on the slate had not endorsed one another.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
