04-19-16
A Grievance must be filed within 30 days from the date of the event giving rise to the Grievance.  Any Grievance alleging a violation relating to Neighborhood Council funding must be filed within 90 calendar days of the date the expenditure is made.
C. Any Stakeholder may make a proposal for action by MCWCC. The Stakeholder
shall make the proposal to a member of the Board or to the MCWCC Office, which
shall promptly refer the proposal to the Chairperson in the form of a Main Motion.
The Chairperson shall, by the next Board meeting, refer it to a Standing
Committee for consideration, or in the event that no Standing Committee has
jurisdiction over the matter, refer the matter to the Executive Council, which may
refer the matter to a Standing Committee or appoint an Ad Hoc Committee at the
next meeting of the Board to consider the matter.
D. Any Board member may submit a main motion by submitting it in writing to a Standing Committee to the MCWCC Office, which shall promptly refer the proposal to the Chairperson, who, by the next meeting of the Board, shall promptly refer it to
a Standing Committee for consideration by the next committee meeting, or in the event that no Standing Committee has jurisdiction over the matter, refer the matter to the Executive Council, which may refer the matter to a Standing Committee or
appoint an Ad Hoc Committee at the next meeting of the Board to consider the
matter.

Numerous attempts were made by stakeholders who own and operate restaurants across where a farmer's market has been operating without permits, which is having a devastating effect on their businesses, to have the matter placed on the MCWCC Land Use Committee agenda for discussion and possible motion.  Said matter was also scheduled three times for public hearing by the Department of Planning, so MCWCC was also notified by Planning of the upcoming hearing, yet they failed to put the case on the agenda.  The most recent attempt to have the matter placed on the agenda resulted in a response from the current land use committee chair stating that even though the restaurant owners continued to request that the matter be placed on the agenda, he felt that all the concerns of the restaurants had been resolved, which clearly was not the case, and refused to place the matter on the agenda.  After complaining to DONE, the matter was finally placed on the agenda, only to be told by the committee that there wasn't enought time to have a motion considered and the committee chair refused to take any action.  They not only had nine months to hear this matter, but the Department of Planning regularly leaves the record open for neighborhood councils all the time, to give them more time to consider a case.  Therefore, there was plenty of time to still hear the case and have a motion considered by the Board.  Clearly, based on a bias by MCWCC,, in violation of their Bylaws, they ignored the request for nine months, and denied stakeholders the right to have this matter fairly heard.

The action of MCWCC was intentional and the stakeholders rights in this matter were denied.  Many current and previous members of MCWCC use their postions for personal gain for themselves or friends, family, etc.  This is not the first time that MCWCC has violated this sectiono of their bylaws.  It is unfortunate that the neighborhood council members are not bound by the ethic laws, which were never amended to include them.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
