A Grievance must be filed within 30 days from the date of the event giving rise to the Grievance.  Any Grievance alleging a violation relating to Neighborhood Council funding must be filed within 90 calendar days of the date the expenditure is made.
The Mar Vista Neighborhood Council currently almost all of its board members running for re-election. At the last board meeting, they disclaimed responsibility for the election claiming it would be a conflict of interest. So they appointed Albert Olson to be in charge of the June 2nd election.

Today on 5/6/2019 he sent an email at 10:30 am with a very strange interpretation of the city bylaws governing neighborhood council elections. He said certain allowable activities were not allowed and threatened to pull the candidacy of anyone that did these things. That is not acceptable at all. Candidates need to trust the officials in charge of elections and misinformation and threats are conduct that should result in his removal from this position. He sent a clarification email out at 4:13pm that was also confusing that had misinformation

Furthermore, the actions he is describing would seem to target new board members rather than the existing ones. The tone and tenor of the emails reflect that. I think that all communication between Mr Olson and any election committee or board members regarding this matter. If any candidates coordinated this email with him in any way, they should be removed from the ballot immediately for election malfeasance.

I think the Board should be suspended until this is adjudicated. Mr Olson should be removed from his position immediately. The communications between Mr Olson and any board members should be examined to see if there was any coordination. Any coordination should result in immediate expulsion from the board and a loss of their candidacy

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
