Land Use Committee was told at June 13th meeting by STNC that they were going to have a special meeting to address the biased letter for the project bellow. On July 16th with agenda posted on July 14th they proceeded to discuss the project without both parties being present. Every meeting that this project was discussed, there were multiple members of the community for and against this project, yet only negative comments keep showing up in the recommendation letter. Please see the explanations bellow,
 Dear STNC Executive Committee:

On May 21, 2018 the Sunland-Tujunga Land Use Committee, after many meeting with the application and community voted unanimously to write a letter sharing both pros and cons regarding the project.

On June 10, 2018, the Sunland-Tujunga Land Use Committee put a discussion of my project on the agenda, last minute without notifying me about it and proceeded to have a meeting as to discuss the car wash without me present but had notified approx. 15 neighbors.  I happen to walk into the meeting and was stunned to see what was going on. I spoke to Cindy Cleghorn before the meeting started and told her she cannot speak about a previously voted item.  She told me "we are just gonna discuss it a little.  During the meeting I had to raise my hand and put the LUC on notice, per there rules and guidelines on the agenda it states, "Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard ONLY when the respective item is being considered." The public comment did not happen.

On June 13, 2018, I attended the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council meeting in which the Sunland-Tujunga Land Use Committee had forwarded a letter for approval by the board.   At that meeting the letter was read aloud to the public and it was so one sided, the public and I challenged it.  During the meeting, we were asked if we would go back to LUC one more time and we said no because of unfair treatment and bias.    I was then asked to give a redline version of our concerns.

On June 17, 2018, we send our redline version for STNC to review.

On July 3, 2018, I attended the Executive meeting of STNC and asked what happen with the letter.  The executive meeting stated they would like to have a "Special meeting with STNC and LUC" on July 10, 2018.  There was certain time restraints regarding my team and my self attending therefore a special joint meeting as scheduled for July 10, 2018.   I was later confirmed the meeting will happen on July 10, 2018.  On July 10, 2018 in the afternoon everyone was notified of cancellation to the special meeting.  Everyone at the Executive STNC meeting on July 3, 2018 was aware of my time restraints with respect to my teams availability and myself.

Today,  July 14, 2018 it has been brought to my attention the car wash project has been put on the Land Use agenda for Monday, July 16, 2018.  I was not aware of the car wash was to be put the agenda, no one contacted me or advised me, I did not ask to be on the Sunland-Tujunga Land Use Committee agenda nor do I want to go back to the Sunland-Tujunga Land Use Committee as I clearly stated at the June 13, 2018 Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council meeting.  My team has not been notified of this meeting, some members are out of town as previously stated at the STNC Executive meeting and I will not be able to attend nor will I be able to represent myself.  I am requesting this item be removed immediately from the agenda and/or do not discuss the car wash as it is a violation of my due process.  There is clear evidence of violations to equal representation and bias towards my project by one or more of the Sunland-Tujunga Land Use committee members.

Executive committee:  After speaking the my team and Neighborhood Empowerment, we are asking for the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council to approve "as is" and forward the existing letter which you received from the LUC for the express car wash on June 13, 2018 at the next regular STNC meeting on August 8, 2018.

Thank you

Armen Kazangian

Applicant for proposed Express Car Wash
Under Brown Act it talks about an item that is voted on cannot be discussed again by the LUC department, yet it was violated on July 16th by Sunland Tujunga Land Use Committee.

Cindy Cleghorn needs to be removed off the Neighborhood Council board and removed as the Chair of Land Use Committee. She only allowed the anti project members time to speak and would cut short the pro project speakers. She also with her friend Liliana Sanchez call LAPD with false accusations of out of order conduct to remove the pro project members.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
