They are deleting and blocking community members from being part of the process. Dan Brin is the president, and also runs the Facebook page for West Hills, California, where 15000 people in West Hills communicate. Any negative criticism is deleted and people critical of him are blocked from even seeing the page where we communicate with our neighbors -- neighborhood empowerment gone wrong

Neighborhood Councils are supposed to help represent the community, not silence their views and voices. The people on the Environmental Committee where I have been involved since its inception, filed false claims and had me banished, publicly humiliated and have since spread false rumors about me on Facebook. I have screenshots that prove these issues.

Yesterday when I posted in Woodland Hills critical about them, I learned that many other people have also been blocked and banished from West Hills. Since I made that comment, I have now been blocked from seeing the West Hills Neighborhood Council page. I am a taxpaying citizen and the neighborhood council system should not be used for retaliation against people they disagree with. They gave me an award when I submitted language for a national monument at Santa Susana Field Laboratory but when I refused to support their efforts to make it a trade -- no cleanup in exchange for a monument/park, they removed me citing false allegations, spread rumors about me and got rid of me. The incident at the environmental committee of last June, is now being spread/exaggerated to make my voice mute in my community. Since I have spent the last 17 years working on the cleanup of Santa Susana Field Laboratory which City of Los Angeles has supported, they have escalated to have me silenced in every part of the cleanup public process. That is intentional and because my voice has been instrumental in the past. Now it is non-existent and so am I in West Hills. I do not deserve this all because I was trying to read into the record the data about how many tons of lead was cleaned up from the drainage of Santa Susana representing 50 children who currently live in the area who have cancer. When the mothers tried to show their map of children in that same committee, Alec Uzemeck said, "I had to sit through your presentation at the DTSC meeting" and wouldn't let her speak or show her map and called it and the children fake. That is why I was reading the proof about lead discharging from the site. Alec humiliated me again, and I then humiliated myself. I did say horrible things that I am ashamed of, but I didn't harm or threaten anyone. They have retaliated and used their positions in the neighborhood council to seek an injunction against me, silencing me permanently. Recently when I posted about a pizza place in West Hills, there were people (lots of people I have never heard of) who were posting about the injunction and said things (I have screen shots of the horrible posts) that indicate that they have heard rumors from these same people. THe leading bullies are Daniel Brin, Alec Uzemeck and Steve Randall and Charlene Rothstein (the latter two are the environmental committee co-chairs) who do not let the public speak. Often there is only one community member present and that is me, and they won't let me speak, or make fun of me in a very derogatory way. Steve Randall has sent me many emails suggesting that I have mentally deficient, and copies his colleagues as well as friends in other boards involved in the Santa Susana cleanup who do not live in West Hills and do not participate in the committee. So the only purpose is to humiliate me. That might sound silly and childish, but the City of Los Angeles Neighborhood Council system should not be used for old men to silence people they oppose in their community. There is a billion dollars on the line regarding the cleanup and Boeing/DOE have paid these people to "remove conflict" in the community about the cleanup. I am the conflict. I founded cleanuprocketdyne.org in 2001 and have been a strong advocate for cleanup ever since. Only this last year has the process come off the rails with antics to slander community members who want cleanup. I am not the only one, but I am probably the most effective in that I have a social media presence. In addition. Bonnie Klea, is a board member and a member of the committee who they regularly humiliate for the same reason and she is an elected member. Bonnie Klea can be reached at 8183408799 and her declaration was not consistent with the other stories they used to file against me, so her declaration magically disappeared from the case. I am learning that last night, at the environmental committee meeting Steve Randal unleashed a screaming match against Jon Berg, a community member who has myaloma and is the THIRD baseball coach at West Hills baseball to have the same cancer. They Steve kicked Bonnie off the committee for being a trouble maker because these realtor people don't want reality affecting their property values. I have recorded meetings -- many many many meetings where their focus is either on how to remove the real estate disclosure about SSFL, or how to make people afraid of truck emissions but anyone talking about cancer is kicked out. Is that who LA is? I am now comparing notes with these people and feel we might have a substantial action because it turns out there are many of us who have been silenced by this horrible committee/board. Steve once wrote me an email stating that I didn't say hi to him at a restaurant and therefore there must be something wrong with me. I am not required to have a personal relationship with these people and this retaliatory nature of emails cc'ing many people is childish and has no place within the neighborhood council system. I am meeting with both Jon Berg and Bonnie Klea today to discuss their experiences and will be

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
