A Grievance must be filed within 30 days from the date of the event giving rise to the Grievance.  Any Grievance alleging a violation relating to Neighborhood Council funding must be filed within 90 calendar days of the date the expenditure is made.
I am the Secretary for this council. Our President, Vice President, Education Representative, Senior Representative, Business Representative and Youth Representative violated the following Bylaws:
"Article VIII - Section 2: Agenda Setting – The Executive Committee shall set the agenda for each Council meeting."
The July 2017 Central Alameda Neighborhood Council Agenda was not agreed upon by all Executive Committee members. Our Sergeant at Arms, Treasurer, and myself, all Executive Committee members, stated during the editing/updating agenda setting process that we did not approve of moving forward with the tentative agenda. It is my understanding that when this happens, we are to hold an Executive Meeting to resolve issues without having to compromise discussing sensitive information via email. Instead of allowing for this process to occur, our President and Education Representative took it upon themselves to set FINAL agenda, even after I, as Secretary am responsible for reviewing and sending out document accordingly. I am attaching a screenshot of the email conversation where we tried to communicate this.

Additionally, in the same email chain attached as a screenshot, our Education Representative states that she along with others, have posted their version of the Agenda at community spaces etc but they do not follow protocol in posting on website or sending out to ENS, from my understanding.

Article VIII - Section 3: Notifications/Postings – "The notification of all meetings shall include, at aminimum, posting on the Early Notification (ENS) System, and at seven (7) public locations
throughout the Central Alameda Neighborhood Council Area, and also in one (1) local publication tailored to reach the largest number of identifiable area Stakeholders. Notice of a regular meeting shall be a minimum of three (3) days (72 hours) in advance of the
meeting and at least one (1) day (24 hours) in advance of a special meeting. Notice shall also be posted on the Council website (if applicable) and emailed out to Stakeholders if the Council maintains such a database. Regular and Special meeting agendas shall also be emailed to the Department."

1. Warning to the Board members, President and Education Representative who make unilateral decisions despite being clearly told that there are issues to be addressed before finalizing work/agendas.
4. A required mediation for the NC board between Board members who are very hostile over phone and in public meetings to the point where Board members were yelling at public/community members from their seats.
7. Placement of NC board under control and supervision of the Department - Many members have failed to fulfill their duties, this is specific towards our President who  has become increasingly hostile and disrespectful of our Sergeant at Arms during public meetings. She is responsible for guiding our council in best practices and he will often times yell over her in front of the public.
8. Suspension of our President for his unprofessionalism in being directly disrespectful to our Sergeant at Arms, to ignoring multiple requests from 3 board members to hold an Executive Meeting, for not following proper Agenda Setting protocol and for making unilateral decisions on items placed on Agenda.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
