Article II, Section 2, Point 5 clearstates. "To prohibit discrimination against individuals or groups in our operations on the basis of race, religion, color, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, homeowner/renter status, income or political affiliation."

The President of this Neighborhood Council has made numerous public attacks on his personal Facebook page against the organization which I represent; Union del Barrio. After making inflamatory attacks against our organization in public, he again referenced us by our organizational name at the July 1st Central Alameda Neighborhood Council meeting right before voting against a motion to re-allocate funds for the Escuelita Aztlan which is a project of Union del Barrio.

On May 16, 2017, the Central Alameda NC voted and approved funds for the Escuelita Aztlan. We have strong reason to believe that the Neighborhood Council President intentionally submitted funding documents late (June 2, 2017) in order to sabotage the funds that had been voted on and approved for Escuelita Aztlan by his Neighborhood Council. In a glaring conflict of interest, he was able to successfully submit the paperwork needed to approve funds for "Read Lead", the organization that he is employed by.

The board President has clearly discriminated against our organization because of our political affiliation. His public Facebook posts are blatant evidence that he has used his position as President of the Central Alameda Neighborhood Council to attack and negatively impact our community work. The President has not been able to act in an unbiased manner and has clearly violeted this point in the bylaws. Because of his attacks against our organization, he should not vote in matters related to our organization or at the very least he should abstain because of his numerous discriminatory actions which are are continuing to document. I have included three screen shots that were taken of the Central Alameda Neighborhood Council President's personal Facebook page where he clearly is attacking our organization and this took place within days of when he purposely did not submit the paperwork before the June 1st deadline for funding documents.

The President of the Central Alameda Neighborhood Council has shown blatant disrespect towards our organization (Union del Barrio) and the community at large. He has used his position to to attack our organization and we believe that he also used his position to sabotage the funds that his council voted to allocate to our project, Escuelita Aztlan. As the current Vice President of the Zapata King Neighborhood Council, I am disgusted by his behavior and I am embarrassed for our community. I know that we would not permit anyone on our NC to act that way towards any members and/or organizations in our community.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
