A Grievance must be filed within 30 days from the date of the event giving rise to the Grievance. Any Grievance alleging a violation relating to Neighborhood Council funding must be filed within 90 calendar days of the date the expenditure is made.

Removal of President Mona Sutton, this grievance can be validated in the minutes for Mar 14 and April 18th. Mona has not taken the time to learn he Robert Rules of Order as well as the Council by laws. In March Council meeting she spent 10-15 min. yelling and accusing a board member of betraying her. When she was done a recess was called. Some how March's minutes was not accurately recorded..it did not include Mona's outburst and stopped with the recess. Mona fails to acknowledge that we are a diverse community trying to work together. When we needed to replace a board member 3 candidates stepped forward. Mona promoted a Gay candidate which is not the issue, the issue is she slandered the other two Straight Latino candidates by referring to them as "those people" from the lowly Barton Hill area. Her candidate was voted in and an ad hoc LBGT committee was voted in, which supports less than 1% of the community. 50% of stakeholders are Latinos, Latino children comprise 82% of the school population, our crime is over 65%. What problems does the LBGT have that the Straight stakeholders and Latinos, Blacks, Italians, Croatians, Asians don't have. We now have a precedence. Every man for himself!! BYW I did send a letter to the Councilman..no response. Last, April 18, tension in the board was thick calling for Mona to remove herself as President on April 16 & 18 two more members resigned. In the middle of the meeting 7 board members walked out followed by the majority of stakeholders. This is very sad. Who is going to listen?
