A Grievance must be filed within 30 days from the date of the event giving rise to the Grievance.  Any Grievance alleging a violation relating to Neighborhood Council funding must be filed within 90 calendar days of the date the expenditure is made.
The Executive Committee did not approve the agenda (bylaw).
General Board Members, 3 of them, did not approve of Agenda (standing rule).

Executive Meeting was requested by 3 of the 5 Executive Board members and their wishes were ignored.  Nonetheless, the President failed to follow bylaws and finalized an agenda that was not approved by the Board.

Neighborhood Council Advocate, Jasmine Duckworth, suggested to Board that bylaw was not followed and suggested the Board not proceed with meeting via email prior to the meeting, and in person on July 1.

The President ignored all suggestions, knowing that the bylaw was not followed, and proceeded with a meeting.

Additionally, the agenda was NOT posted online, for the community to have access to it.

Despite the recommendation by our NC Advocate, Jasmine Duckworth, whom was present at this  meeting violating our bylaws on July 1,  whom also witnessed these actions, the President Alfredo Gama refused to follow the bylaws and continued with the meeting indicating the Standing Rule was followed.   The standing rule does not supersede a bylaw.  In addition, the standing rule indicates all board members approve the agenda, not "the majority."

It is obvious that there is a significant misunderstanding on how to conduct board business, and required trainings are essential to the functioning of this board.  The President has ignored recommendations and guidance by our NC Advocate and does as he chooses, which can be detrimental to everyone involved, specifically the community.  The intervention of the Department is crucial at this time.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
