Budget Breakdown
Voices Neighborhood Council establishes strong and effective community networks with schools, churches and local organizations in order to increase civic engagement, renew pride in the community and prioritize current stakeholders, with particular attention given to seniors, youth and homeless populations.
1.    Partner with schools and Parent Teacher Associations in our neighborhood to participate in the Clean Streets LA Challenge with the larger goal of establishing ongoing joint community service efforts and civic participation among youth.
2.    Partner with local churches and non-profits to create a working database of free food distribution, health care and other services in our community, and distribute that information digitally through Voices’ various online platforms and through strategic print placement at schools, churches, organizations and other community hubs.
3.    Organize a local job fair in collaboration with Councilman Price’s office, local businesses, churches and non-profit organizations in order to provide local job opportunities for stakeholders and encourage investment in our community.
4.    Support local non-profit organizations that provide homeless services and homeless prevention services through partnerships and participation in Community Impact Statements.
5.    Conduct surveys, town halls, and other outreach efforts in order to gather community input to file a Community Impact Statement regarding the Mayor’s Homeless Bond Measure.
1.    We do not have an effective online and social media presence. Solution – establish a Social Media ad hoc committee in order to create multiple online platforms through which we can distribute information and more efficiently communicate with stakeholders.
2.    We do not have working relationships with local schools, organizations and places of worship. Solution – corresponding committees will compile a list of schools, churches/ temples, and non-profit organizations and reach out for collaboration on specific community engagement and service projects.
3.    Stakeholder participation and communication with Voices NC is low – form a multi-platform media strategy utilizing free city advertisement resources (ex. pole banner ads), social media platforms, printed materials and local TV and radio to distribute information.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quick Base often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quick Base finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quick Base needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
