To promote more citizen participation in government and make government more responsive to local needs. To win the Clean Streets Challenge! Create a coalition of business, nonprofit, and city services together to improve the overall quality of life for MacArthur Park residents.
1) Participate in the Clean Streets LA Challenge and bring an overall cleanliness score from 4's and 5's to 1's and 2's.
2) Partner with a Neighborhood Council alliance or other Neighborhood Council's on a project, such as emergency preparedness or the Cool Blocks projects. 
3) Conduct 6 neighborhood surveys across the year in order to gather community input to file multiple Community Impact Statements. 
4) Establish a coalition amongst community organizations, local schools, city departments, and private businesses to enhance the quality of life for residents.
1) Create a website and social media strategy in order to communicate with residents electronically. 
2) Create relationships with people and businesses that can help us create coalitions (Council staff, business owners, apartment managers, school administrators).
3) Partner with other Neighborhood Councils to make our dollars stretch
4) Find ways to encourage more board members to get involved with outreach and events.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
